Problems with updating config
« on: August 17, 2009, 12:22:50 pm »

First I want to say HI! to everybody.

I'm new user of Coppermine and I have a big (for me) problem. Anytime, when I'm changing something in coppermine's configuration, I have to input ALL yellow-highlited settings, that I changed before. I have clicked "save settings", then I have updated database. Changes are working fine, but in configuration panel settings gets back to their defaults.

I have already tried the forum's search option, maybe I miss something, but I can't fix it. One thing is sure - files permissions are not the problem. I suspecting a problem with database or database connection. I have read something about SQL safe mode, but I don't understand it, cause my english is not good enough (as you can see).

In attachment: txt file with informations from debugger (taken after saving config, before database updating)

Yellow highlighting normally means your web browser is remembering the form values. Try another browser to test.

...and upgrade - you're running behind, as you have cpg1.4.20, while the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.25.

I have updated to 1.4.25 and tried again on MS IE 7 without addons.

As Nibbler suggests, try using another browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Safari. If that fails then come back.

It seems to be ok on firefox. Thanks!
I have changed all needed parameters and they are saved correctly.

But there is another problem, that I have ignored before. I thought that it was caused by image size settings, but I have changed them and I still can't add new photos to my albums. Before update I have uploaded some photos - I have changed image size settings, save config and then photos was uploaded correctly and placed in albums. To add next photos I had to change and save settings again. Now I can't add photos at all. :o

As per the board rules we have a strict policy of one question per thread. This is to help others when searching the boards with similar problems.
