[Solved]: Can I have dual installs
« on: August 13, 2009, 10:18:42 pm »

I think I know the answer to this.  I installed in June, and configured an album for sharing photos and for others to upload to.  This was for my daughters wedding.  I was impressed enough with the software, that I would like to convert my entire site to Coppermine.  I do not want to destroy what I have now for a while, but would like to start developing the new one (I have learned a lot about configuring it).  Am I correct that I could just create another directory, and install into it.  Then later I could delete the current directory.  ???

My current installation is http://www.skildum.com/Coppermine

yes it's fine, and if you use the same database, be sure to define an other table prefix for your nex install

Thanks.  I might have missed the prefix in the DB portion.    ;D
