[Solved]: Make my icon button not working
« on: August 12, 2009, 04:16:46 am »

Is there a reason the make my icon button is greyed out and not allowing me to choose a photo to show as the icon for a gallery?  I assume I must have a setting wrong but after reading the documentation and searching the forums am not seeing a solution.

Thanks in advance.

That icon is meant to represent your personal gallery. You can't select any thumbnail, but only thumbnails in albums that already reside in your personal gallery. You can only select actual thumbails and not generic ones. The radio button is greyed out if an image doesn't fall into the category "can be selected as a personal gallery thumbnail". For details, do as suggested per board rules and post a link to your gallery.
Not related to themeing, moving accordingly.

So what is the best way to choose a photo in each gallery to be the representative photo for each particular gallery?

I already told you what you need to do:
For details, do as suggested per board rules and post a link to your gallery.
Failing to do as suggested makes supporters reluctant to help you. ::)

She has the photos in her galleries sorted in the order she wants, but she wants to be able to choose which photos show up as the icon or representative photo for each gallery.

Thank you

Can we have a propper link instead of a silly redirecting link.

What's wrong with that link? I don't want my client's name, which is the site name, to show up in Google again as the last posting did.  Now, when you google her name, first page of Google results, is my last posting here in this forum.

Do you have a better suggestion for a way to post the link?

Out of curiosity, why is the link necessary? I just want to know how to choose a photo to be the icon for a gallery.  What difference could it possibly make to post the link the way I did...it still takes you to the page?

Solved. I was confusing the "make this my icon" feature with "album thumbnail".  My mistake. I just needed to choose it in the Album Manager.
