Is there any logic to the userpics directory?
« on: August 11, 2009, 05:34:14 pm »

Hi all,

I'm backing up all of the pictures in the albums/userpics directory by downloading them via ftp from the server to my PC.

I already have quite a large number of photographs following a backup I did a few months ago (they're in folders with 5 digit numbers).

Backing them up now I had assumed I'd just need to select the higher numbered folders that I don't already have; however some folders have more pictures in than they do on my backup.

So, I'm asking here; is there some kind of logic to the userpics directory so I only download the new pictures or do I have to go through downloading ALL pics everytime I want to backup?

Regards

The numbers are 10000 + the id of the user who uploaded them. To aid in backups use software smart enough to download only new or changed files.
