i Think it would a great idea to add a feature to the Admin Utilities so that you can choose all albums when updating the thumbnails and intermediiate file, instead of going through album by album.

that's not possible because the script would soon time out (at least if it's done in one go) - that's why you can only do this by album currently. I'll put it on my todo-list though...
