Have CPG 1.2.1 running on a Mac.
Deafault sort order is Title ascending.
I prefixt the title names with a number:
01 First pict
02 Second pict
etc
On my album pages i see:
05 xxxx
06 xxxx
01 xxxx
02 xxxx
03 xxxx
04 xxxx
What can be wrong?

After a few more experiments:
Seems like the pictures stay in upload order, whatever sort order I choose.

the default sort order is taken into account for first time visitors to your site. If they (or you) click on any custom sorting scheme in the upper right corner of the thumbnail page, this chosen sorting mechanism will be stored in a cookie and taken into account on future visits. Delete your cookie to check how first time users will see your gallery - if you don't want them to re-sort, remove the custom sort option from your theme.
