Less confusing uploading

My issue is that my board has around 575 albums and when uploading, it's a real eye sore for the uploader.

Is it possible through a simple code mod to create 2 dropdowns - the first you can select the category, and the second you select the album within whichever category was just selected using the first dropdown?

I have been looking around and the only solution I can find is JUpload but I prefer the default coppermine upload so users without Java can still upload.

No simple mod available. You'd have to fiddle with Ajax. That's far from trivial.
