Can't Login
« on: April 21, 2009, 12:30:12 am »

I have the following issue after a failed attempt when trying to bridge coppermine and Mambo:
no error message given, when I try to login I just get the index page again, after I get the greeting and the continue page.

I have manually turned off the bridge using phpMyAdmin.

Coppermine install: http://aylard.ca/gallery
Forum install: http://aylard.ca/mambo
Coppermine version: 1.4.21
Mambo version: 4.6.5
Test user account: n/a

BridgeManager settings:
Mambo URL:  http://aylard.ca/mambo
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../mambo
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/preifx (if applicable)

Bridging is not enabled.

You are correct, bridging is turned off.

I have given up trying to connect this instance of Coppermine.

What I want to do is return Coppermine to a pre-bridged condition.

As it stands now I can't connect to Coppermine as a user or as an Admin.

All I want to be able to do at this point is sign on to Coppermine from the Coppermine index page.

Reverse whatever you did in phpMyAdmin and then disable the bridge properly.

I have tried everything possible.

I couldn't turn the bridge off using the bridge manager, so I followed directions I found on the forum to turn off bridging using phpMyAdmin.

Assuming that this turned bridging off I still was not able to sign-on.
I tried to reset my password but this did not work.

I think now I have given up and will delete and re-install coppermine.  It's a shame to lose the photos that were uploaded since the links to the photo were used on other foums and are still working.

Is it really possible to get Mambo and Coppermine to work together.  What am I missing?
Is there a complte set of instructions somewhere that will guide me though the process?

Don't re-install  that's not needed. Don't give up yet.

Apparently yes: that's what users reported.

Yes, called documentation. Link at top of the screen.

I fixed the login problem on my standalone gallery (after the aborted bridge attempt).  During the bridge attempt the Admin group was changed from "1" to some other value.  I changed the groups back to original settings using PHPAdmin.

Looks like the standalone Gallery is back to working again.
