[Closed]: Coppermine <-> phpbb3
« on: April 10, 2009, 10:49:54 am »

I looked through a bunch of your site. Very nice work. I believe the answer is there, but I wasn't able to find my error message.

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and phpBB3:

While executing query "SELECT u.user_id AS user_id, u.user_password AS password, u.user_level FROM `kry0832802160369`.phpbb_users AS u, `kry0832802160369`.phpbb_sessions AS s WHERE u.user_id=s.session_user_id AND s.session_id = '138b5115e72a25be8ee2916f10486e96' AND u.user_id > 0" on Resource id #16

mySQL error: Unknown column 'u.user_level' in 'field list'

Coppermine install: http://kryderexploration.com/gallery/
Forum install: http://kryderexploration.com/phpbb/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: phpBB3 ??
Test user account: demo / demo

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://kryderexploration.com/phpbb/
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../phpbb/
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/preifx: phpbb3_jfa6n

In my slightly uneducated opinion, I believe phpbb isn't allowing coppermine to have its user information.

What bridge file did you use?
Are you actually using the phpbb3 bridge that is available as separate download? You can't use the phpbb bridge file that comes with cpg1.4.x out of the box: those bridge files only work for phpbb2.

Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
No, you're using cpg1.4.21, which is the most recent stable release currently, so nothing wrong with that in itself. Please be more accurate in the future when posting information for supporters.

Oh, sorry I didn't edit that. I have an out of the box version. no upgrades.

Did you actually install the phpbb3 bridge then? It's not available out of the box - you need to download it from the mods section.

Ok. Nevermind. I did install that mod, but didn't work the installation instructions correctly. Was trying to run those php commands on the wrong server. Thanks for all the good work.

I have no idea what you did ("run the PHP commands on the wrong server" ???), but you appear to be happy with what you got, so I'm flagging this thread as "closed".
