Super Newbie!
« on: April 30, 2004, 03:35:29 am »

Currently, I just  got my phpBB board running, and I love it!  I want to add by adding coppermine.  It looks like a great tool!  What's the install like?  What do I need to do?  What do I need to know?

Follow the yellow brick road, and click on the 'Documentation' and 'FAQ' links at the top of this page.  ;)

OK. cool you just up load chmodd to 777 so everyone and there brother can access those 2 directories, and then run the install..

Here's a less newbie question.  My host charges per my sql.  I've got one free db that i'm useing with my phpBB, can I share the phpBB database with coppermine? or do I need to get another?

777 or 755.  Also, make sure you get 1.2.1.  1.3 is beta, but should be stable very soon.  We provide upgrade scripts, so you need not worry about missing out.

Yes, Coppermine may share the same database as phpBB.

It is also recommended that you use the same database for your board and Coppermine.
