Protecting Images
« on: April 30, 2004, 01:13:59 am »

Images on my server are protected from downloading using some code that stops right clicking on the screen and stops Windows XP's feature of saving from showing up on the picture.

Is there a way to make it impossible to download pictures that are in coppermine?

A correlary to that is: is there a way to limit the number of pictures a user can email from coppermine but still let them email a few?

Only one question per thread, please!

Code that tries to disable right-clicks is bull-shit and can easily be tricked. It's in the nature of web-browsers that everything you see can be stolen, so all those scripts that pretend to be protecting your gallery are bullshit imo, but of course you could try fooling some newbies with it.
You can add the script you're already using to coppermine, there's a mod as well that disables right-clicks: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=2450.0
Next time, please search before posting, this has been discussed before.
