phpBB3-Coppermine Bridge: Upload Permissions
« on: February 11, 2009, 12:57:48 pm »

Coppermine install: http://www.wwry-london.co.uk/gallery-new/
Forum install: http://www.wwry-london.co.uk/forum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.20
Forum version: phpBB 3.0.4
Test user account: gallerytest / test123

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.wwry-london.co.uk/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:  1
Cookie name/preifx: phpbb3_3ewa9

Problem is as follows: When I go to the "Upload file" link, Coppermine complains that "there is no album where you are allowed to upload files". I then create a gallery, click "Upload file" again and get the same error. My guess is permissions, but I have checked and double-checked the appropriate settings in the Groups and Config pages, but nothing seems to work.

Any help is appreciated.

To confirm, I have just uploaded two files as my admin user, one using admin mode, one using user mode - both with bridging enabled. Both the "ADMINISTRATORS" and "REGISTERED" usergroups within CPG have the same permissions for personal galleries: Allowed=Yes, Approval=No.

You need to enable 'Public albums upload' on the groups page.
