Hi,
I'm new to this forum so forgive if this question is already asked or solved.
First my albums are not shown in my ftp programme, how can i solve this?
Second when i want to delete an album the error message says: album/xxxx/ not writable.
I have set all the cmod to 777.
Please help
Thanks

Albums made in cpg do not automaticly appear on the ftp server.
Normally this is what you do:
- login to ftp
- create a new folder under "albums"
- upload pictures into the new folder
- go into cpg and create a new album in a appropriate category
- to add pictures into the new album use batch add and choose the folder you just created on ftp

Folder in the albums directory need to be set to 777.

Don't trust in any FTP software. Go into you're files admin software (the one that provide your web hosting) and set it from there.

Then, do what Hein suggested. ;)

FTP software is just fine to set rights. I use Filezilla myself. Just do not use any auto installers like fantastico and such.
Also make sure to read the documentation to better understand what is happening under the hood.

I use FileZilla too, and I love it! Anyways, sometime it failed (like any software) showing the real permission of a folder.

From docs:

Quote
FTP application
.......................Keep in mind that your FTP app might not have the power to actually find out about the current permissions that are applied, so you mustn't trust the information displayed in the dialog box: even if it appears that the permissions are already set as needed, this may not be the case, so you should re-apply the permissions no matter what.

Regards,

Try reuploading delete.php fresh from 1.4.20 (assuming you upgraded to 1.4.20 already)

Complete site on 777 is a bit over the top. include and albums+edit+userfolder need to be set to 777, not all the folders and files.
