Batch Upload without FTP
« on: January 30, 2009, 07:39:08 am »

Hello

Is there anyway that I can upload a file via the website without having to upload to ftp first? the reason for this is because I am setting it up for my dad who will be uploading the files himself and I want to keep things as simple as possible. I think it would just confuse matters if he has to upload the files to ftp first. If not can anyone suggest a way to make batch uploads as simple as possible?

Thanks for your time

Welcome to this support board for cpg and thanks for using it.

To answer your question i have one really simple answer: d-o-c-u-m-e-n-t-a-t-i-o-n  ;)
Or more specificaly: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#uploading

Have fun

Well, your topic and first question were a bit at cross-purposes.

The topic says batch but your question asks about a single file.

See my point?

You can configure CPG so he can upload a "bunch" of pictures via http (up to 10) See this.

But "batch" uploads are via FTP.

What's the advantage, compared to FTP-uploading? Sounds pretty complicated to me.
