do the work together

I have coppermine 1.4 and phpbb3 verison 3.0.2
when using the briding tool I can not get them to work, I have tried everything. I called a friend and he siad it looks like coppermine is not compatible with the latest version of phpbb
anythoughts?

You need to get the phpbb3 bridge from the mods board and use that.

I thought I had it working and now I get a eroor screen, it looks like everything is really a mess

The error message says you are using the bridge file for phpbb 2.0.18. You need the phpbb3 bridge file. You can disable the bridge using the bridge manager emergency recovery and then try again with the right bridge file.
