Image Property and Value
« on: December 18, 2008, 01:23:21 pm »

Hi to all support,

I've successfully installed the latest version and works very well for me. My only question is that I would like to know if there is any settings where I can enable or select to have the More Information of an image has the Image Property and Value like when you right click and image file properties you will see the property and values.

Just like in flickr, if you click an image there is More Properties link where you can see all the values of the image. This will be helpful for me as I plan to have an dslr image gallery with friends and possible expand the web site more further and this is very essential to my web site.

Please let me know if this will be possible or not. You can leave me a message here or email at bernalroland@hotmail.com. Hope to hear from your support soon. Thank you

Regards,
Majesty

If you mean the EXIF data, you can enable that in config.

I tired to enable the EXIF and it seems ok but its not really what I wanted. what about the other one "IPTC" and it actually added a few more features as below: But what I'm actually expecting like the More propertise like from flickr also as below as sample. Is this possible? I hope that will be possible, a plugin or any added features that will take those dslr image propertise and image values when uploaded to my website. Hope you understand my point, just like the : More propertise in flickr image.

Thank you if its not the EXIF and IPTC my website would not look so professional ...

In addition to going to the exif manager and selecting the field you want displayed, it looks as if you're not getting back the proper exif data in the fields you are displaying.

I'm not sure if this post will help you or not, but it looks like a similar problem.  I use a D80 and did not have to make any modifications to my exif.php file to properly display my exif data.

Also, not all of the exif items can be displayed in Coppermine.  The parsing scripts Coppermine uses will parse all of the exif data, but only some of the fields have been included in Coppermine.  Others like Geo tag data, are not stored in the database.  I can't imagine that it would be that difficult to store the rest of the information already parsed in the exif scripts, but it's not something I know how to do.

It's unbelivable. I didn't thought there is a setting to click on beside after checking the box on the confid part of exif. I see what I needed, all are actually there. I hope the exposure, shutter and make will be working fine with the images. That's just actually my main conern is.

I really thank you for sharing this with me. Can I see your web site? My web site is http://www.hkpinoy.com. I will test this out and hope it works fine before I officially publish the site for my fellow peeps here. Thanks again.

At least one of your pictures is displaying garbage for the exif data.  I would try testing out more pictures, and if the problem persists, try the fix I posted earlier.
