Over the last couple of days, every time I log in and click the "batch add files" button, it takes a while, but then I am directed to a page that says "500 Internal Server Error". I have no idea what the problem is. Any help?

Seriosly, this is not a Coppermine problem but a server side problem. Search the board if you want to check for yourself. Search: 'Internal Server Error' or similar.

This is what the error page says:

500 Internal Server Error


The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

Firstly, you are running version 1.4.3. This is very bad for you as you are leaving yourself to some known security flaws that have now been addressed.

So upgrade now.

I updated it. 

I was also online with a support person from my host for a long time, and the problem was still not solved...

So, please do as suggested. Talk to your web host, they must solve the problem.

They should at least be able to take a look at the server's log and tell you what exactly is wrong, i.e. what triggered the 500 internal server error. Without that piece of information, we can't help you at all.

Additionally, Phill has already told you what to do: RTFM and do as suggested there!
