Batch Add Error
« on: April 24, 2004, 12:35:57 pm »

I have been making my gallery and I have added quite a few new pictures, the batch add has been working fine. However I just recieved this error:

Quote
Warning: opendir(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 32082 is not allowed to access /home/nadineco/public_html/pictures/albums/screenies owned by uid 0 in /home/nadineco/public_html/pictures/searchnew.php on line 178

Warning: opendir(albums/screenies/caps-70603/): failed to open dir: Permission denied in /home/nadineco/public_html/pictures/searchnew.php on line 178

Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/nadineco/public_html/pictures/searchnew.php on line 179

Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/nadineco/public_html/pictures/searchnew.php on line 189

Followed by the usual box saying there are no pictures in this directory - even though there are about 20. :-\

Well the gallery is chmodded properly as I have been adding pictures elsewhere. The silly safe mode thing is set as that says too. I dunno how it can be the server if i have added pictures today and still can in certain ones.  ???

Apply CHMOD once more, making sure propagation to all child objects is enabled. You can't tell how a folder is CHMODed by looking at the display of your ftp program. WS-FTP, for example, doesn't display the CHMOD settings of the object currently highlighted, but the settings you applied previously to another folder.
