Theme GrimmFD problem in IE
« on: December 03, 2008, 11:03:45 am »

Hi!

I'm new with coppermine and I'm using the theme GrimmFD. I like it a lot but in IE the images inside an album are not visible. I've added a screenshot. I tried to find the problem but I'm not a big star with php. In Firefox and Flock the problem isn't there and if I change the theme into a default one the problem is gone. I think the "flaw" is in the theme.php file but like I said: I don't know where...
Maybe somebody can help me find it?

Try this modified theme.php file. I'll take another look at it tonight and upload a completely new theme package to the theme board. To use this file, change the extension from theme.txt to theme.php. Let me know here if this works for you.

I tried it... I got the following message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /mnt/web1/13/42/51706142/htdocs/pictures/themes/GrimmDF/theme.php on line 912

I opened your file after I tried it and it seems that at the end of the file there is some code missing?

But thanks for helping!

I just tired the file again and it works fine for me in IE 6&7. Have you made any modifications to the theme? If so, zip it up and attach it here.

I haven't made any changes to the theme.
I think it's better to first understand what you're dealing with and then make changes!  ;)
I'm afraid it will take some time for me to understand everything...  ;D

I did add some links to the template.html file. I uploaded the original file, but that isn't the problem.

Here's the complete theme so give this a try. Unzip, upload and check. Make sure to rename your old theme first.

I just discovered that on this page (http://annys.nl/pictures/thumbnails.php?album=21) there is no random image in the top. If you view a categorie you do see the random image. When viewing an album inside the category the random image is gone again. Is that the idea? Can it be changed so that you always see a random image? (And maybe exlude video files?)

Hope I'm not ruining your day!  ;)

I don't understand it but I copied the random image function from the original theme.php file over the random image funtction in the new theme.php fil that you gave me. So now I have the random image back in the top of every page. And everything still works in IE. :D
I do wonder what the difference is between the two random image functions or the two theme.php files. It's all unreadable to me...

There shouldn't be any difference other than me fixing the intermediate image issue. This has nothing to do with the random image though but I'm glad it's working for you now.
