Hi Gaugau,

I know you've only just put this revamped board online, so there's bound to be some teething probs.  The first one that strikes me is myself and Omni seem to have lost our 'dev team member' status on the boards, and are unable to read the dev boards, or moderate the forum.

hey guys, don't panic - I'm working on it... ;)
I tried to reduce the offline time, so I converted and put the forum back online. Now I'll have to restore the old user groups (including dev team members). Please stand by for a moment...

Hehe,

your member group settings should be back in place - and the smilies are as well... ;D ;D ;D

Have to go to work now, I'll check on the forum again later...

@gaugau: Ok. You're on my naughty list now. I can't tell which posts are new in the message view. I can tell from the main page, but when you go into a specific topic, like "General discussion", I can't tell which threads have new posts in them.

edit: Nevermind. I just had a stupid moment.

Look in the subject title.. you'll see a BLUE NEW! button to the right of it :)

(posted case others have that problem LOL)

the best thing about it: smf will "remember" which posts your read and which not, not only as long as the session lasts. It's one of phpbb's drawbacks: if you wanted to go through all new postings, you had to do so in one go (as long as the session lasted).
Even better: if you actually click on the little blue "new" icon, it leads you directly to the unread posting (especially helpfull in long threads). SMF has even more: it shows you which threads you posted in, making it easier to track the threads your interest lies in. Take your time with smf, I'm sure you'll like the extra features...
