Custom page titles
« on: November 15, 2008, 01:30:48 am »

Hi there, I have given myself a headache trying to figure out how to solve this problem.  I have edited the <title> tag in my template.html to my site name (Creative BC).  However as this file affects my whole site every picture has this page title.  Google has indexed a number of the photos from my site but they all have the exact title and page description.  I want to make it that the name of the picture becomes the page title, and the caption the page description (for both intermediate and full views).  I have seen this on other coppermine galleries but couldn't deconstruct how it was done.  I figure this would help with SEO allowing my site to be reached from a wider range of key words, depending on what is uploaded.  So I would really appreciate some guidance in figuring this out.  Thanks!

Just replace your custom title back with the '{TITLE}' tag, coppermine does what you ask for out of the box.

One other quick question is it possible to do something similar with the page description?
