FAQ section of lang. file - need help fixing it please
« on: November 10, 2008, 01:32:47 am »

I was working on modifying the FAQ section of the language file, customizing the answers to be more specific, and deleting some of the FAQ's I didn't think were necessary. Everything was going fine until my last round of changes & reload. Then boom! - clicking on the FAQ link from inside my gallery just took me to a blank white page.

I've gone over and over my FAQs, comparing them to the original FAQS, but I'm not seeing where I went wrong. I have reinstalled the FAQ section from the original lang file so things are working again, but I am hoping someone will be willing to look over my edited version of the FAQS and hopefully spot where I went wrong so that i can put my customized answers back in.

The code box below makes the text a little small to read easily, so here's also a text file of my edited FAQ section if that's easier: http://colliope.com/holdingbin/FAQS.txt

With my gallery, users have to be registered and logged in to be able to do anything other than read the FAQs, but once registered & logged in, they are permitted to create public user galleries (no private ones).  I know that factors in to the 0 or 1 and "offline" parts of each array, so I'm thinking that's likely where the error is, but as I said, I'm not seeing it when comparing to the original FAQs.

Thanks,
C

Missing comma at the end of this line

Code: [Select]
array('Why do I need to register?', 'Registration is required by the administrator. It keeps this a secure, private place we can all feel comfortable adding pictures too.', 'allow_user_registration', '1')

Wow! Great eyes, thankyou Nibbler- putting that one common back in fixed it.

Now I have 3 Q&A's that aren't appearing in the FAQS, whether logged in or logged out. Can I continue with that here or would you rather I start a new thread?

Nevermind, I fixed it. The 3 Q&As that weren't showing were all

'allow_private_albums', 0), //cpg1.4

I changed the 0 to 1 and now they show.

Thanks,

C

Sorry, I have that wrong above - they were 1 (not showing) and I changed them to 0 (now showing.)
