Does anyone know where I can find the file php.ini

you may have to create your own and then put it in the root directory of your site, that's what I had to do.

In which folder I'm supposed to make the file?

What must I write in that file?

And how can I make it work for my gallery?

You probably can't change it anyway. Take a look at the output of phpinfo.php to find out what php.ini file is being taken into account. Ask your webhost if you're allowed to edit it or come up with your own copy of that file and where it resides. The file php.ini doesn't come with coppermine - it's part of the webserver setup. We can't help you with questions related to it nor can we tell you where it is located.
