Automagically create albums from directories?
« on: October 04, 2008, 08:44:29 pm »

Hi, I have about 3000 photos in about 300 directories. Is there a way I can automagically import the directories where the photos are into albums?

Currently, it seems that you have to first create the album, and then import the pictures into that album. With 300+ directories that will be really tedious :-)

Yeah, thanks
I tried it out and it works like a charm.

I converted from a gallery2 site and this plugins kicks butt -- I'm on hostmonster and it kills your process if it hogs up too much cpu. I could never import so many files all at once in gallery2. This is a lifesaver

Looks like I spoke to soon. The mass import plugin seems to randomly turn directories into categories. Some directories get turned into categories, but not all. Preferably I would like it if only the top level directories were turned into categories.
