Ok, suppose I have a cateogry called 'Personal Albums' and there are 500 users. Is there an easy way to sort all the users into seperate alphabetical categories ? So as to eliminate/reduce confusion or the overwhelming feeling of all the users names.

no, there are no sub-categories within "user galleries".
