[Solved]: thumbnails out of focus
« on: September 24, 2008, 07:25:09 am »

Hello my friends,

I would like to know if anyone has a clue of why the thumbnails of all albuns in my gallery are now looking like as if they were out of focus. There's no problem with the files and the whole size pictures also appear ok.
see them here
http://fotos.biolorgia.com.br/thumbnails.php?album=4

It must be a configuration problem that I can't figure out.
My other gallery is ok, with normal thumbnails.
here:

I compared the configurations of both galleries and couldn't find a possible source for this problem.

Best regards,
Julia

The original size of thumbnails is 120px × 79px
but you change thumbnail size to 182px × 120px
You need to regenerate thumbnail by going to
admin tools=>Update thumbs and/or resized photos (1)=>Only thumbnails

oops, sorry..

updating the thumbs didn't work...
do I have to change my configuration to the other thumb dimension?
I didn't want too small thumbnails..
but I updated everything and they kept the aspect of out of focus

I even deleted and uploaded one of the albuns all over again to test, and it still showed the same weird problem, a little bit less though..
here: http://fotos.biolorgia.com.br/thumbnails.php?album=9

and the others, that I only updated
http://fotos.biolorgia.com.br/thumbnails.php?album=4

a good one to compare

thank you very much for the attention

on this album:
http://fotos.biolorgia.com.br/thumbnails.php?album=9
Actual thumb size is 150px × 112px but you set it to 150px × 113px
1px diffrent and that is the problem
Make your mind and set the dimension you want and then go on and update thumbnails

I didn't set up for 113px

Actually, the configs only give me the option to choose one value of dimension.. I chose 150px and "max aspect"
Should I choose "height" ou maybe "width" instead of "max aspect"?

Well, I'll try both and see what happens..

thanks

just changing the config from "max aspect" to "height" solved the problem..
