Can I empty the table 'cpg149_hit_stats'?
« on: September 16, 2008, 10:39:08 pm »

I have a relatively large website with Coppermine installed there. My problem is that my host contact me that database is far too big for our service.

I noticed that this one table 'cpg149_hit_stats' has over 2.6 million rows and takes 360 Mb space. I don't need any detailed information for admin purposes but before I empty the table I want to know if it is safe to do by default and there would be no 'exploding' in the site? Or is there any connections to somewhere on the Coppermine that uses this table by default?

It's fine to empty it. If you don't want detailed hit stats then disable that feature in config (it's off by default anyway).
