SMF 2.0 and Coppermine
« on: September 05, 2008, 08:33:49 am »

Hello,
i'm a user of SMF, recently i've switched my websites from SMF 1.1.4 to SMF 2.0, cause different hacker attacks that deleted completly my databases.

i used Gallery2 integrated with SMF, actually it seems that there isn't any integration available for Gallery2 and SMF 2.0, so i'm thinking to switch to Coppermine..but there are some things that i don't understand:

- Has Coppermine users album, where every user of the forum can upload pic on his/her private album?
- Can the user manage, create and delete his/her albums?
- Is possible to import in Coppermine the data of Gallery2?

Thanks,
F.

Yes
- Can the user manage, create and delete his/her albums?
Yes
- Is possible to import in Coppermine the data of Gallery2?
There is an importer, but I can't tell wether it works with most recent versions of menalto gallery - I never tried it myself.

Did it work? Please provide feedback. Any particular reason for flagging your last posting as "turned down"?

I did one about 6 weeks ago for a friend who was fed up with gallery2's quirks and it worked fine. He really is pleased with coppermine too and especially with the JUpload plugin.
