Adding New Extensions
« on: August 28, 2008, 03:17:23 pm »

I have searched for the answer to this but sadly I cannot find what Im looking for  :'( Hopefully someone may be able to point me in the right direction  ;)

Anyhoo, I have what appears to be the common problem of not being able to upload animated gifs, which I accept is not a coppermine related issue. My question is this, I am able to convert my animated gifs into alternative formats such as either mng or psp, but these extensions are not allowed....does anyone know if I am able to add extra file extensions to be used? I have seen where I can add those for audio files and docs, but not for images themselves.

If this is not an option for me, does anyone have an alternative format that I CAN use that I can then convert my animated gifs into?

Many thanks in advance for any help...and many apologies if this has already been covered

mng and psp are not widely supported by web browsers, so there's no point enabling them.
