Upload Directions Issues
« on: August 12, 2008, 10:59:26 pm »

At this thing again

I have in the past uploaded small (1-3 Mg) quicktime video files to our ftp site and managed to bring them in to Coppermine through Upload File with no problems, I believe the size limit is at 10 Mg.
Now I have a 307 Mg file sitting on our FTP site and I cannot use Upload File because it is too big so I need to use batch add files.
I've read the documentation and the replies from the moderators and step by step diagram, unfortunately I don't see that in my process what I do get (sorry no snapshot):

Batch Add Files

List of New Files?
Put files of "upload" into (video)
box checked ftpquota
box checked Insert Select Files (none that I can see)

That's it (it's a little frustrating the diagrams that I'm given to reference are easy enough to follow) but what's actually on my screen is not the same as in the example I'm told to follow the directions.
My understanding the limit has been increased to 607 Mg yet no dice

What's a "FTP site"? FTP stands for "file transfer protocol". You use an FTP application to transfer files from your PC to your webserver. Transfer it to a sub.folder within coppermine's album folder, then batch-add. If this doesn't solve your question, do exactly as suggested in the docs, section "asking for support on upload issues". Additionally, post a deep link to the file you're having issues with.

Out of the box, coppermine doesn't support flv, but there are many postings available that explain how to add flv support.
