Problems with batch upload and accent or quote
« on: July 30, 2008, 09:35:28 pm »

Hi,

I have two problems :

1 - Images or folders that contains an accent, can be uploaded but not viewed.

2 - Images or folders that contains a quote (') can't be uploaded

Please help me.

Thanks

FTP-uploading and batch-adding is an admin-only feature. Both accents as well as apostrophes are not web-safe. You as a person who runs a website should be aware of that and not use those chars in the first place when naming your files. This being said: batch-rename your files before you upload them.
Also take a look at the coppermine config option "Characters forbidden in filenames" - out of the box, apostrophes are listed there for very valid reasons. Don't remove the apostrophe from that field. If you already did, put it back into the list.
