« on: July 18, 2008, 11:58:41 am »

I get this common error like most of other users:

After I troubleshot the upload I go this error message: "No file was uploaded! If you have really selected a file to upload, check that the server allows file uploads... "

Believe Me I have read all the forum tried everything but no change + in my php info everything seems to be correct! Please Help I worked so hard on the design and at last I can even use the gallery!

Details:
-My max upload size is 10M
-My my file Upload is ON ON
-the tmp is placed in the home root of the server and is chmoded to 777 - upload_tmp_dir is linked to /tmp
-All the directories under album and include are chmoded to 777
-I have never used copper mine before. its the first time and I am really prepared to lunch the

Please help me!!! I would really appreciate it!
Thanks In Advance :P

-Mike

I read those posts already, but it seems that it was not the case for me. my php info look perfect. one thing I am not sure about is tmp, on the php info its working. but I not sure about the position of the folder in the server: (Its in the root of the server.)

Any other ideas or possible problems?

Thanks

Might mean that temporary path does not exist or is not writable. Test with some simple file upload script.

It exists and I set it up to 777. Still doesn't Work! One thing is that I installed CMG with fantastico, I am going to try and reinstall on another directory manually. but if you think a problem might be the cause, please help.

Thanks a lot for you effort.

"fantastico"   :o

In other words : Do not use Fantastico. Is screws up a coppermine installation. Search the board for Fantastico related posts.

A word of advice, get rid of Fantastico or for that matter any form of auto-installer. Do a manuall installation instead which you have already said yourself.

You know what, I was going to tell you the same thing before I even read you message. because I tried without fatastico and it worked. I think this is the big problem to almost everybody! Next time you find someone with the same question as me, just ask he if he used fantastico.

THANKS SO MUCH For Your Hard Work!!!!  :P ;D :D

I will help people on this forum whenever I find something that I know.

thanks again!
