Video Issue AVI WMV / FLV OK + random question.
« on: July 09, 2008, 09:55:30 am »

Hey there

I am going on a bit of a weird use for coppermine , i am testing it to power my humour site.
I have about 4000 images and similar amount on videos. I am going to chuck it on a server that supports ffmpeg etc etc.
The issue i am having is i cannot get AVI / mpg / wmv to play properly. I think the internal player is playing silly buggers with me.

Is there another player i could use to fix the issue or should i just convert all 4000 videos to FLV.
Another quick question , how many files can be in one directory? :)

Thanks
Karl

There is no internal player. You have to install a media plugin for your web browser and configure the appropriate codecs.

Example works for me.

I guess i phrased the question incorrectly , I have given the link to serveral people and they haven't been able to see it. Maybe it a localised thing.
I can't see it in any browser with the media player plugin. Is there a better player out there (EG jwplayer) that plays wmv and avi than i can use instead of the default plugin.
