Moved site to another host - coppermine issues
« on: June 12, 2008, 02:10:49 pm »

http://ceconn.com/photo_gallery

Looks like coppermine is connecting to the wrong database or something.  When that address is typed in, a convoluted main site appears.

How can I correct this and have it point to the proper database?

I've got the tables in phpmyadmin.  That seems right.   >:(

Just adding to the previous call for help, the config.inc.php looks like this:

<?php
// Coppermine configuration file
// Silly safe mode
define('SILLY_SAFE_MODE', 1);

// MySQL configuration
$CONFIG['dbserver'] =                         'localhost';        // Your database server
$CONFIG['dbuser'] =                         'cecon46_gallery';        // Your mysql username
$CONFIG['dbpass'] =                         '*******';                // Your mysql password
$CONFIG['dbname'] =                         '*******';        // Your mysql database name

// MySQL TABLE NAMES PREFIX
$CONFIG['TABLE_PREFIX'] =                'cpg148_';
?>

The database server is right.  The mysql database name is right; The mysql password is different with the new host; mysql username is different with the new host.  The prefixes for the phpmysql tables are all cpg148 with the new host, too.

My head tells me I should change some of the values to reflect my new database.  What do you think?

Looks like the main site has a rewrite that is intercepting the gallery URL. Not a Coppermine issue.

Apparently the .htaccess file was repaired but now I'm getting the following error when trying to connect.

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user 'cecon46_gallery'@'localhost' to database 'cecon46_gallery'

Any suggestions?

Make sure the info in include/config.inc.php is correct. You might need to set up a new mysql user.
