Greetings!

In a nutshell, how do these two thing relate to one another within coppermine?

Do you have albums and then categories within them?  Or is it the other way around? 

I just wanted to get a clearer picture (no pun intended) before I start dropping photos in and then find out I've been doing it wrong!

On a side note.  Once the photos have been processed by coppermine can you delete them out of the album folder or not?  I'm thinking not, correct?  So when I upload I would want to make my album folders names .. oh .. recognizable.

Hello,

Albums can  be placed in Categories or you can create Albums that don't reside in a Category.
You can shift the pictures between Albums once you have uploaded them and yes you can also delete the pictures too. Don't delete the files from the albums directory because this will cause Coppermine to still try and display that file as there is still an entry in the database for it. Instead, delete the picture from the gallery using Coppermine.
