Hey, sorry for being so annoying and asking useless (maybe, for you, but not me lol) questions. but i'm moving host and have some questions.

I want to back up my gallery as it is, so if i just upload it to the server all the  image views, comments, users, settings, everything.. will be the same. I was also told you update my galery to the latest version urgently, why is this? and to get my gallery working on the new host, which data would i have to change?

Its all in the documentation. You need to upgrade because versions < 1.4.18 have a security flaw which is actively being exploited.
