High traffic site (Need to repair DB several times daily)
« on: April 10, 2004, 01:01:22 am »

Hello. I am affiliated with a very high traffic web site that has been having some random problems occuring. Please advise based on the information below:

- Server is running MySQL 4.1. The same errors were happening on 3.23. We actually upgraded to try and get rid of the errors.
- Randomly, but definitely at least 2 or 3 times per day, we find that the index.php page is completely blank and the ONLY way to fix this is to repair the MySQL tables and clear the cache file (We are using JPCache).
- We've read various posts on the board and most of the "answers" are along the lines of "Reinstall MySQL, Try repairing MySQL, Try backing up MySQL and restoring" - this has all been tried several times. We also tried commenting out flush() but that didn't seem to help.

The server itself has 2 gigs of RAM and is dedicated to this one web site. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you allow admin batch adding?

Links are nice, too.
