Thumb problem
« on: May 26, 2008, 08:48:21 pm »

Hi everybody.
I just downloaded Stramm, and I am already having problems with it.
And ofcurse, it is about thumbs.
I cropted it to 95x95, but something is wrong.
Look: http://www.ultimate-maria.us.lt/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=422 - all of them are very bad, streching and stuff...
Help me.

As with watermarking you'll have to run the admin tools and recreate the thumbs

And if I don't use watermarking?
I set watermarking to NO, but it is still streching.
Sorry, I am new in this...
How could I recreate the thumbs?: )

in other words... if you use watermarking, thumb sharpening or thumb cropping (doesn't matter if one or all) and you change to settings related to this, then you'll have to recreate thumbs and/ or images.
It's described in the docs for watermarking, that's why I said that.

If you upload an image, then thumbs get created... let's say 160x100. Now you chnage the setting to 120x120. All images you upload from now on will have thumbs assigned with a dimension of 120x120. The old ones still will be 160x100 cause they need recreation. Just the html output will get the new values and the thumbs look stretched or squeezed or whatever you want to name it.

An unmodded Coppermine behaves the same if you change thumb dimensions or resize method.
