Does anyone have any idea about how to search album information instead of searching pictures?

Add keywords and description for your pictures, it should be able to search for keywords :)

To be more specific, I would like to add keywords at the album level (as well as those already associated with the picture itself) and be able to search those keywords.

not possible at the moment, but you could add keywords to a whole album at once with a query like this:

UPDATE `cpg11d_pictures` SET ` keywords` = 'keyword1 keyword2 keyword3' WHERE `aid` = 'album_id';
