Error 500 trying to Rotate photo
« on: May 14, 2008, 11:30:03 pm »

Logged in as an administrator, running v1.4.18 with GD v2, when I go to "Crop and Rotate" a picture I am able to Crop, but when I set a Rotate value and try to Preview or Save the browser returns the following message:

Quote
Error 500 - Internal server error

An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

Any hints on troubleshooting or fixing?

Yes: review your server's logs - an internal server error is just what the name suggests: there is something fishy on your server. Probably you're running into resources limitations, so my most basic advice would be: don't use server-sided cropping/rotating, but do that on your client before you upload.
