Determine max image size
« on: May 08, 2008, 11:21:36 pm »

First of all the problem is I can't upload pictures and I get a 503 error which I cannot troubleshoot because my cpg is hosted with 1&1 which doesn't show the actual error message.

I searched through the forum and found multiple explanations. The one that seems to apply to me is image size since all of my pics are about 2800x2100.
I used to resize them to 2100x1700 and they worked without any problems with batch add.

Now, I get the same, 503, error when i try to upload resized pics as well.

What bugs me most is that I have my own server running with default php settings and I can upload pics without resizing, but CPG on 1&1 servers keeps failing even though their settings seem to be significantly higher that mine.

Question is, how can I determine the max size of image I can upload with info that phpinfo() reports?

Any suggestions welcome.

Do exactly as suggested in the docs, sections "upload troubleshooting" and "asking for support on upload issues".
