Should I Start Clean?
« on: May 15, 2008, 05:01:08 pm »

I have been working with setting up my gallery for several weeks now and finally have a structure/layout that will work.  I have uploaded, deleted and re-uploaded 2500 pictures during this time.  Now that I am finally ready for my final set-up, is it best to start with a clean install to get rid of all the mess or it won't really have an effect and I can continue with the existing gallery and database?

If I stick with the existing gallery and database, should I do anything with the database before I upload the final set of images to clean it up a bit?

If you haven't made mistakes (i.e. deleting pics by FTP app although they still reside in coppermine's database), you shouldn't perform a fresh install, but run with the existing gallery. Coppermine is not a desktop app that you uninstall and re-install to make problems go away.
