[Solved]: Resize thumbs
« on: April 26, 2008, 02:10:42 pm »

I have to resize thumbs in my gallery.
It's a great option for updates on my site...

I have all installed.

I fill in:
Mini Thumb Width     75
Mini Thumb Height    100

Saved it.

Go too admin tools, I have try one album, for take a look it works. I try al the options..

But it not work :(.

http://oi-gallery.org <= this is my gallery.

My English is bad. But maybe there is somebody who can fixed it for me??
Thank you.

Make sure the folders are chmoded properly.
Post links to albums that work and albums that do not work.

I've seen you ask on the freelancer board (paid help) for support, too. There you're llooking for someone who creates square thumbs for you. Is that what you ask for here, too? As mini thumbs are different to square (regular) thumbs.

Well I need the thumbs the same as on this gallery http://www.olsen.popstory.com/gallery/ my own formats as well.

I have chmoded all the folders to 777... I think :p but whats the problem? When I'm not chmoded, the resizing don't work?  ::) :-\..

And I don't have links to albums that work, because in al the albums it's not work...

I'm not smart  ::) :P

To understand the unix permission system is mandatory if you work on such a system. Especially when you try to work with the filesystem (creating new, overwriting old files).
Search the web for a site that explains that.
In short terms. As a user on such a system you and php need to be allowed to create files or (in your case) overwrite existing files. If you do not have these permissions you can't do that.

Cause you say now the minithumbs isn't what you want, but square thumbs, you even need to check if file permissions are sufficient for your task.
Folders 755/777 (depending on server setup)
Files 644/ 666 ( -"- )

I was forget to:
Change it in Exact and and go to admin tools for update.

If I didn't try I had Max Aspect and go to admin tools, and I try, I try..

Well it was a little mistake from myself
