hey, i'm new and i have a question

my site was recently hacked so i investiagted further on the issue and i found some information that stated the albums folder of my gallery was hacked, i went to the link, and it had been.  since june 2007!  instead of the redirect page  there was a black page  with a fire background and  a weird  language, a friend also had this done to him some time ago.  now i deleted the   index.html  they created but when my news was hacked i was sure they left a script in the folder to allow them access again, because i can't delete the news folder.     how do i find out if theyve left any scripts?  this was so long ago =/
