After being Hacked
« on: April 18, 2008, 01:56:28 pm »

I was hacked and now I can't upload pics.. my host said this about the hack

The pop up was basically attempting to launch Windows Remote desktop connection service. This would have been a real hacker attempting to gain access to as many users' computers that he possibly could. I doubt this would be your competitor. It was redirecting the users to a site in China.

He fixed that but however now when I upload a photo, it first says "upload successful" then when I go to place in
album it says

The previous file could not be placed.

You have successfully placed all the files.

I've checked permissions, but not sure what else to do. tech doesn't know coppermine so he can't help

As most questions, such as this one, have been answered before i kindly ask you to use the Search function before posting any question.

Open Search, in the forum menu, and do a search for "The previous file could not be placed."
You wil find multiple threads about this subject. Read them and see if you can solve it by yourself.

When one tries to use the search function to find previous answers to questions, instead of finding answers one mostly finds people telling people to use the search function, which of coarse is not terribly helpful.

Really helpfull reply Nookster. I replied with using the Search function because that problems has been addressed and solved multiple times already. As we have non-spoon fed support here i and other encourage users to do a good and thorough search first before posting questions.

@chick
