hi. im quite sure this is not a bug but the way the gallery works, i was just wondering if there was any way to change this.

when you add a new photo to an album, all the links in that album are updated because the new photo is added to the front of the album.

in other words, if an album contains two photos with these links:

displayimage.php?album=132&pos=0
displayimage.php?album=132&pos=1 ,

when a new photo is added, the new photo will have the link

displayimage.php?album=132&pos=0

and the older ones will change to

displayimage.php?album=132&pos=1
displayimage.php?album=132&pos=2 respectively!

this is extremely frustrating as it means that no link can ever be given for a photo, as it is really likely to change within minutes/hours!

is there any way to change this?? i have version 1.4.14 .. perhaps it has already been resolved in .15/.16?

You should update anyway. To link to an image you should use the static links that are in the picture info section below the picture in intermediate view. You may have set this to be hidden by default. The link looks like displayimage.php?pos=-123 which refers to the id of the pic and will never change.
