Truncate WORDS in picture description.
« on: March 29, 2008, 05:29:20 pm »

I found severals topics about truncate comments or picture description considering lenght of the comment. For example, "Long comments under thumbnails", "Truncate Comments and add ... ", "How to Break long words in comments?", "comment wrap, is it possible", and others... Well, I only use the "suite" from the french guy and work perfect.

Truncate the coment or picture description, for example to 200 characters or 15 words it's done.

BUT, the problem is, when a user of my gallery put a picture description like: "Helooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" the max_lenght_character (or similar) function doesn't show "(....)" instead of it don't modificate at all. Beacause that function only work on comments not picture description.

So, how to truncate words or change by (...) in pic description?

Please help!
