[Closed]: Cant upload
« on: March 12, 2008, 08:02:02 pm »

Hi,

I wanted to do this. Have 5 categories where admins and a usergroup can upload into. I dont want any albums or public albums just simply 5 categories all images in there. I have set this up with E107. Can I do this?

[Edit GauGau] Replaced hotlinked image with attachment homehf9.png[/Edit]

As you can see I have no upload button, not to sure why. Also there is a user gallery, dont want it, dont want people to upload their as its not a category how can I delete it.

[Edit GauGau] Replaced hotlinked image with attachment classxo4.png[/Edit]

This is my current setup. Administrators all the admins for e107. Registered users to the site can only view, comment and rate they cant upload. Clan Members should only be able to upload in the categories when the admin approves the image.

Im in a complete mess, thought this would be easy. Any help would be great

Thanks

You have to have albums. Pics can only exist inside albums.

Set upload permissions to that album in album properties.

How can I set upload permissions to indivdual albumbs. Does this mean that every person that creates an album needs to create permissions. I did search the forum cant find anything

Thanks

Only the admin can assign permissions for public albums. Regular users can't create albums within public (admin-created) categories. RTFM.

I dont understand why this is so complexe. I'll keep trying

I made 5 categories as seen in the images on the first post. Admin and normal user cannot upload in their. Admin made an album admin nor normal user can upload their either. Normal user cannot make an album only admins.

I know I cant post pictures into categories even if the user created an album in the categories and only he can upload to his own album that would be fine. Nothing is working. I have bridged this with E107 if this helps

Thanks :)

Look - uploads can't go into categories, but only into albums. Permissions can't be assigned to categories, but only to albums. We won't be able to help you if you don't use the correct terms, as your postings just don't make sense.
Posting a link to your gallery might be a good idea as well.

http://92.1.83.211

You need to log in you can do this with

Username: test
Password: 1

Then at the top menu you will see Gallery click that. You will see I have done albums into categories, but you still cannot upload into the album. The admin created the albums. Admin nor user can upload into any albums, permissions in the Group tab has been set.

Thanks

Probably a problem with the e107 bridge/whatever it is, which is not supported here.

As a custom, user-contributed bridge file maybe, but not as part of the official coppermine release. There is no official e107 support here. Ask the author of the e107 bridge (if he's willing to support it) or ask on the e107 forums, but not here. Marking thread accordingly.
