hi i tried to search but can't really find a plugin for this... currently i am using the stramm modpack and  in need of a plugin that enables me to send an announcement to the home page.. thanks

you can use the anycontent bloc (see the doc http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_album_list) or use the minicms plugin

I know this thread is several weeks old, but just wanted to point out that the MiniCMS plugin would fit the bill nicely as well (although it might be a little overkill).  It has the advantage of being able to add/edit messages to any thumbnail page (or a standalone page) directly from the CPG user interface.  I use it fairly extensively on my gallery.
