Is there a way to put the html code in the description of the categories?

Use BBcode instead.
Using or allow HTML code in desc field is not recommended at all.

Or test MiniCMS (Coppermine) plugin.

This does not work in CPG 1.4.25

Is there any way out ?

Sorry for bumping but what was the reason to remove even bbcode ? :(

You were told not to bother coming back. Instead you register under the name bubbul and then ask a silly question on a hijacked thread without bothering to search the manual ( http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#bbcode ) or the forums where this question has been asked many times before.
